Wistful vocals set against a widescreen
folk backdrop: honest balladry/velvet melody from this London based
‘alt-country' artist who uses synth and samples alongside his virtuoso
finger picked guitar. Dappled, gentle tones reminiscent of Nick Drake
and Chris Isaaks woven into Adam's own accomplished style. His second
album on Zube is 'West Coast Elegy' and this is available on CD
or as an MP3 from Itunes, Amazon etc.

CHAOS AND GRACE. His debut release on the
Zube label in 2008, Chaos And Grace was an introduction to his lyrical
voice and versatile guitar style. The atmosphere, overall, was laid-back,
although this would belie the lyrical themes within the melodies: global
warming, mortality (Layby Shrine) and the lost and rediscovered love's
of others. |

WEST COAST ELEGY. Chaos saw Adam covering all
instruments except pedal steel, but with West Coast Elegy and the introduction
of musicians to build a wider sound hinting at more new possibilities
to come. Experiments with instrumentation have born unexpectedly
sweet fruit and this CD has already gathered excelent reviews
in UK and USA music press. |
